EMAX 2026: Electronics Manufacturing in Southeast Asia

Southeast Asia’s electronics manufacturing sector keeps expanding, and Penang sits right at the center of that shift.

Held 22-24 July at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre, EMAX 2026 brought together chip manufacturers, semiconductor producers, and equipment suppliers from across the region. That makes it one of the more relevant stops for anyone building technology for the factory floor.

Exhibiting with Panasonic

We were there at the invitation of Panasonic Connect / PFSISMY, joining the exhibition together with Panasonic. Thank you to the Panasonic team for the partnership, and for bringing us into this show.

Bringing HOP to the Show Floor

At the booth, we brought Human Operation Platform (HOP) to manufacturing leadership from across Southeast Asia through a live, on-screen simulation, walking through how AI vision observes operator work steps on the line, checks them against defined SOPs, and flags deviations in real time. For a region where manual assembly still makes up a large share of production, that gap between what the SOP says and what’s actually happening on the line is a familiar problem, and one worth more than a quick look.

Leaving Penang

It’s a good reminder of why we build HOP the way we do. Visibility should be simple to show, and just as simple to act on.

We’re heading home. Looking forward to what’s next in AI-driven manufacturing.
